Our stay at Polgwedhen Lodge was absolutely fantastic. The secluded location provided a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by beautiful trees and the sound of bird song. We were warmly welcomed with a delicious cream tea upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. The lodge itself was cozy and well-equipped, with a comfortable bed, sofa, and chairs. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace, taking in the stunning view of the private lake and watching the sunset. Despite being away from the city, the lodge had great heating to keep us warm and cozy. We also appreciated the detailed instructions provided by the owner and their helpful recommendations for local attractions. our stay was an unforgettable experience and we highly recommend Polgwedhen Lodge to anyone seeking tranquility and relaxation in a beautiful setting.
The lighting in the lodge was a bit dim, making it slightly difficult to apply makeup. The pressure in the shower was also not the strongest, but this can be expected given the lodge's location away from town.

I recently had the most wonderful stay at a private lodge in Cornwall. Set in beautiful private gardens with a serene lake, the lodge offered a truly idyllic escape. The owner was polite and welcoming, ensuring we had everything we needed for a relaxing holiday. The lodge itself was well-equipped, with a comfortable bed and ample heating to keep us cozy during the colder nights. I particularly loved the personal touch of being greeted with a delicious cream tea upon arrival. The location was peaceful and secluded, allowing us to fully unwind and enjoy the tranquility of nature. I would highly recommend this hidden gem to anyone looking for a perfect Cornwall hideaway. Despite a small fridge and minor issues with the electric shower and wifi, these were easily overlooked in the grand scheme of things. I had an amazing experience and I will definitely be returning in the future.

The room was cozy and comfortable, and the private gardens with the lake were a beautiful addition. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
The only thing that could have made the breakfast better was if there was a wider selection of options on the menu.
